Congratulations on being selected to represent your country at this year’s 4th WMO World Championships in Albufeira, Portugal.
Please read this letter in full and ensure you understand the information provided.
The cost of the trip is £645 per person (plus competitor fees for category, insurance, suit and tracksuit as stated further on in this letter). Price will include 5* hotel (bed and breakfast) and transfers between airport and hotel. The World Championships will be hosted by the hotel, so no additional transfers are required. Flights are available from Manchester and Birmingham but please let us know your preference when you book.
There are 250 places available on the flights and in the accommodation. All rooms are twins and we have a few triple and quadruple rooms available for families wishing to stay together. All deposits will be numbered and logged in the order they are received so it’s in your own interests to book online and pay your deposit as soon as possible.
We need to secure the hotel and flights in the next 2 weeks, so deposits of £99 per person must be paid no later than 5th March 2018.
Deposits are £99 per person and must be paid online. Bookings will open on Monday 19th February – please visit:
The balance of the trip (£546) will be required by 1st June 2018.
We will depart on Monday 24th September and return on Saturday 29th September. Exact timings plus a full itinerary will be sent to you approximately 14 days before the departure date. To keep it fair for all concerned, these places are for spectators as well as competitors and there is no limit to how many spectators accompany each competitor. If we exceed 250 people, accommodation and flights will be entirely dependent on availability, although we will do our best to accommodate everyone.
Any requests for groups, clubs, family or friends to be together in rooms must be made at the time of booking.
Deposits are non-refundable so please ensure you can afford the whole trip before committing yourself. All bookings are made subject to terms and conditions.
Remember, the cut off date for deposits is 5th March 2018.
Please note: If a competitor does not pay a deposit by the deadline, their place will be forfeited. You cannot make your own way there; you can only enter as an official team member. In the event of a deposit being received late, your money will be returned to you unless otherwise agreed by the WMO. Deposits are non-refundable.
ADDITIONAL COMPETITOR FEES
Suits need to be ordered online before 1st July 2018 at a price of £40.
Tracksuits also need to be ordered online by 1st July 2018 at a price of £45.
£50 per competitor per category to be paid online by 1st August 2018.
Insurance needs to be paid online by 1st August 2018. It is vitally important that all competitors and spectators declare any ongoing medical conditions as well as details of medication they are currently taking as failure to do so may result in insurance claims being void. Conditions such as vertigo and claustrophobia must be included.
Details on luggage, requirements and any additional costs will follow.
Spectator tickets will be available to buy before departure to ensure everyone can gain entry to the tournament. Please ensure you have a valid passport which will have, at the time of travel, a minimum of 6 months remaining before the expiry date.
If you have any further queries, please contact the WMO England Team Organiser Gordon Burcham on 07801 517208 or Alfie Lewis, World President.
